Rules and Regulations:
A. Design Requirements
ii) Open theme concept for this competition.
iii) Requisitions: Creativity and Originality.
B. Materials
Plain lanterns are prepared by organiser.
Category A: 4-6 years old (Lantern Size: 10")
Category B: 7-9 years old (Lantern Size: 10")
Category C: 10-12 years old (Lantern Size: 12")
Category D: 13-15 years old (Lantern Size: 14")
Category E: 16-18 years old (Lantern Size: 16")
All participants are required to bring their own colouring material, table and chair.
All kinds of materials are permitted to be used for lantern decoration.
C. Category
i) This competition consists of FIVE (5) categories:
Category A: 4-6 years old
Category B: 7-9 years old
Category C: 10-12 years old
Category D: 13-15 years old
Category E: 16-18 years old
D. Eligibility
Malaysian Citizens.
Malaysia Permanent Residents.
E. Results Announcements
20 finalists will be chosen for each category.
20 finalists will be announced on the actual day of contest.
20 finalist lanterns will be exhibited from 14 Sep to 4 Oct 2015 at Concourse area.
Winners will be announced on 26 Sep 2015.
Prizes will be given on 26 Sep 2015, management will contact a week before to confirm the attendance again.
F. Registration Requirement
Pre-registration is required to participate in this competition.
Participants are to confirm their participation by submitting the completed registration forms by 11th Sep 2015 to Palm Mall Customer Service counter.
G. Showcase of Lanterns
The event organiser reserves the right to select the lanterns for showcase, the manner, location and duration for the lanterns to be exhibited.
Lanterns are deployed at the Palm Concourse during the festival period.
H. Judging of Entries
All decisions made during the competition are deemed to be final at the organiser’s discretion.
All Judges’ decisions are considered final.
The management and organiser will not be hold responsible for any injury, illness or death caused by or associated with the participation of the competition.
All entries submitted will become the sole property of the Organiser and will not be returned to the participants. The Organiser reserves the right to use the art pieces for publicity and other purposes, without payment of any fees and without seeking the prior consent of the participants.
Each entry must be original and unpublished work of the participant and copyrighted work will not be accepted. The submitted entry shall not have been entered in any other competitions whether locally or internationally.
The Organiser reserves the right to change and amend any of the Rules and Regulations without prior notice.
This contest may be cancelled without prior notice by the event organiser(s) at any stage.
Any cancellation will be notified by the Organiser.
